Sharp! Fabulous! Beautiful! These were just a few of the words used to describe the photographic prints awaiting the arrival of incoming President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to the West Wing of the White House.
Flexibility was the name of the game. As the photographers were capturing images of the Inauguration and sending them to the photo editor, the photo editor was reviewing them and sending them to us. We had less than 24 hours to print and mount the images that were then delivered to the White House for installation.
Such a project requires a comfort level between editor and print provider and that means a print to monitor match. But with the editor working remotely, this presented a challenge. First, we assessed the capability of the editor’s monitor, then provided her with a freshly made custom print profile and initial proof. Upon her approval, we were ready to roll with our Epson P20000. In less than 24 hours we produced 62 (20”x30”) photographic prints, worthy of the White House.
